Thank you to all these groups for their continued collaboration and support. We would also like to
acknowledge the support and encouragement of Changing Places UK.
A variety of wall-mounted hand rails (also called grab rails) are provided in every Changing Places bathroom. These include:
- drop-down horizontal hand rails on either side of the toilet, which provide support for people transferring on or off the toilet, and for people who need support to sit upright on the toilet
- other rails, which people can hold onto for support while sitting or standing
All wall-mounted hand rails must be designed to support a person’s full weight.
